The majority of our work is the FCFCOA, however, we also assist with Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court Family Provision matters.
DIRECTIONS HEARINGS
We can appear on behalf of your firm at Directions Hearings both online and in person at the Newcastle Registry. This includes Compliance and Readiness Hearings.
INTERIM HEARINGS
We can appear on behalf of your firm at Interim Hearings. This includes online, and in person at Newcastle. Subject to availability, we are willing to travel to attend interim hearings at Registries around NSW.
MEDIATIONS
We can attend mediations on behalf of your firm including pre court mediations, Court Dispute Resolution Conferences, and Litigation Intervention Conferences. We can also attend Family Provision Informal Settlement Conferences and Supreme Court settlement conferences. Subject to availability, we can attend mediations in Newcastle and the wider NSW region.
FINAL HEARINGS
We can appear and instruct Counsel on your behalf at Final Hearings in the Newcastle Registry and, subject to availability, other Registries around Australia.
SUBPOENA INSPECTIONS
We can attend at the Newcastle Registry to inspect and / or copy subpoena material on your behalf.
INDEPENDENT CHILDREN'S LAWYER
Our Principal, Kayla Haasnoot, is also an Independent Children's Lawyer and she can attend to the above agency matters as an ICL.

For clients in receipt of a grant of Legal Aid we charge $180 plus GST per hour of appearance.
For privately paying clients we charge $200 plus GST per hour of appearance.
After the first hour, our fees are charged to the closest 15 minutes.
For clients in receipt of a grant of Legal Aid we charge $180 plus GST per hour of appearance up to the Legal Aid cap of 5 hours. We charge an additional $180 plus GST for preparation.
For privately paying clients we charge a fixed fee of $1,800 plus GST for appearance. This includes one hour of preparation. If additional time is required for preparation (eg: preparing the Case Outline) we charge $200 plus GST per hour.
For clients in receipt of a grant of Legal Aid we charge $180 plus GST per hour of appearance up to the Legal Aid cap of 5 hours. We charge an additional $180 plus GST for preparation.

For privately paying clients we charge a fixed fee of $1,800 plus GST per day for appearance, this includes one hour per day of preparation.
For photocopy of subpoena material we charge $100 plus GST for attendance and copy up to 1 hour. If the material is voluminous and exceeds 1 hour to copy, we charge $100 plus GST per hour, charged to the closest 15 minutes.
